  I saw this doctor years ago with my first child and now that I am pregnant again Im looking for another doctor. I am only doing this review because my own search for another doc has been very frustrating and there are a lack of reviews. This is my experience and yours may differ. Pros: Office staff is friendly, atmosphere is friendly, Dr Teri Elam is usually smiley and high energy and informative if you ask the right questions. Cons: The visits seemed timed. Like 15-20min increments. How is this personalized care?. At my 40 week visit she told me that she was doing a simple exam and then left me in a whole lot of pain!! She then admitted to me that she had stripped my membrane. Her reason apparently was because the next week she would be on vacation and i seemed concerned if she would be the one delivering my baby. I honestly didn't care who delivered my baby. The only thing that i wanted is for everything to run its course naturally. I ended up going into labor that night and she performed an emergency c-section on me. I am still not sure what the hell the emergency was. I had no diseases or medical condition that called for a c-section. I was only at the hospital for 3hrs before they decided that they needed to induce labor and shortly after perform a c-section. I would've liked to experience a normal labor, pushing, birth and bonding experience with my baby. Laying on a metal slab numb from the waist down was horrifying. Some women would prefer quick labor and c-section delivery but i would rather nature to run its course. Its a matter of personal choice. At a post postpartum visit she told me that from now on I would have to deliver by c-section so i will never go back to this doc again. Clearly we do not share the same values so you will want to be sure if you go to her that you two are on the same page.
