- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Dr Cohen is marvelous, professional, personable and excellent surgeon. I had the privilege of working with Dr Cohen when I worked at local hospital in surgery. He is very skilled as a surgeon. I worked 25 years in surgery and believe me there are good and bad surgeons. Dr Cohen is great. I also worked with Dr Cohen when I worked for the organ donor program. He would pass off care of his patients to me when the became organs donors. I also met him while I was working as a nurse case manager. Again, treated with great respect and he took excellent care or our mutual patients. When I needed neck fusion, I knew who I wanted to do the surgery without hesitation. Even though Dr Cohen and I had several years history working together, he treated me as a patient, despite (or maybe because) being an RN sometimes doctors think you know more than you do. However, my surgery, all post op expectations were explained thoroughly. The fact that I have had a superior result from my surgery only reinforces my belief in him. Should I ever need a neurosurgeon again, I am glad I have Dr Cohen for my doctor. Do not hesitate to see him. He is the best in Alaska. And as I worked 20+ years in Arizona before moving to Alaska, I would put him in the top 3 neurosurgeons I have met in my career.April 16, 2017by Linda Crawford
